2008 Starts with a Bang!

What a day we had yesterday! It was our first event of 2008 and what a great feeling to get another exciting year underway.

After meeting Sarah during a very quick rendevous/interview last summer at Union Station, right away I understood that she was dreaming up an amazing event at one of the most beautiful venues in Washington, DC... but boy was she going to need help! Sarah was about to start into the next chapter of her life just as planning was getting underway -- medical school in Missouri. Yikes! Over the next nine months we worked together through phone, email, IM and only three jam-packed in-person days to create exactly what she and her future husband-to-be Jack were envisioning.

Sarah & Jack met and become friends many years before while in school at Georgetown University. But it wasn't until they reunited again after graduation that things began to come into focus and they realized that they were meant for each other. In honor of where it all started, they decided to get married on campus at the adorable Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart on Georgetown University campus. The 250 guests would then celebrate their union at the historic Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.

The pictures speak for themselves... Here are just a few photos taken by my staff member of the reception. We can't wait to see the professional shots!

We started the evening with amber and yellow hues of lighting, and then later in the evening changed to violets and pinks to really set the mood for a great party!

Each of the 200 asian paper fans were hand-painted by the bride's great uncle in Korea. It was such a wonderful personal touch that made the favor extra special.

It was a long, yet exciting day! The five-person breathe staff worked tirelessly to provide the most stellar service possible from start to finish. Pictured above are Alison, Lauren and Reena.
